Leopard Print Boots

Im back with another shoe post and I thought I would dedicate it to these beauties that I bought last week. I have found my perfect winter boot. I bought them from Topshop in Knightsbridge after also being told that they had only one of my size left, I had to have them. I have tried finding them on the website but, I bought mine in-store so they could still be available if you happen find yourself near a Topshop. However, I found some dupes on Asos of some similar leopard boots, and a second but more pricey option of the leopard boots. I love them because they have a 60's feel to them and the heel isn't actually too high, which is really handy as its so much more comfortable to walk out and about in. I also like that they are very versatile as you can wear them with skirts, jeans and dresses. This sold me in the end as they are a perfect finish to any of my outfits and add a very sleek and sophisticated touch. In my opinion they are just the perfect amount of leopard print to any outfit.

Mini Skirts

Hey y'all!
I have a selection of my favourite mini skirts picked from Topshop, American Apparel and Zara and it seems, that every time I go on these sites I'm always gravitating towards skirts. At this time of the year, I sometimes find it hard to think of what to wear which both looks good and is easy. Mini Skirts are the solution! They really add depth to your outfit and are such a good way of getting some colour in. I also love large pockets on skirts, they just add a good bit of shape and quirk to the piece which is what Topshop have been sporting (number 5 & 2). I have also sneaked in American Apparel's pleated skirt, this skirt is so effortlessly cool but also dosen't try too hard either. A huge plus side is that goes with everrrything. I have also put in a leopard skirt, this baby is from Topshop and boy! Have Topshop done it again? This one is great for dressing up or down and in my opinion very versatile. Leather (faux) is also making an appearance, this is one of my favourites because I haven't seen this colour of leather around a lot and I think it again looks effortlessly chic with a large coat and some boots. So basically, Im loving every kind of mini skirt there is going!

Autumn.

Things and Thoughts about Autumn.

This is my first blog post and i thought i would dedicate it to Autumn. Today is one of the first days that i have really felt Autumn is upon us, the crisp weather, the layering of clothes to keep warm and leaves appear to have covered the ground like a blanket.. (also not forgetting that Starbucks have brought back Pumpkin Spiced Latte!)

So i thought i would start my very first blog post as the sky is littered with grey clouds and the temperature has dropped considerably! I am snuggled in my living room with my pyjamas and an oversized hoodie with a nice cup of tea behind me. Today is a lazy, typical, autumnal day. I love these kind of days though as you can catch up on everything and just have time to yourself, on a day like this i usually have a long hot bath and watch my favourite television series (Gossip Girl.) Im on Series 5 Episode 9 and 17 minutes into it...if anyone was wondering.

I live in England so usually its very cold and rainy, so we have a very small gap to wear summer clothing and the rest of the year is spent in tights and jeans! Although, i love winter/autumn clothing so for me i don't mind at all! For my birthday my mum got me a black fur coat from Topshop which has been perfect for Autumn so far, its so warm and comfortable, it also looks great with anything as it is in a classic colour (black) which suits pretty much anything! I have usually been pairing my fur coat with ripped jeans which are also from Topshop in a dirty grey/black. I never thought i would wear ripped jeans but i really love them! They are SO comfortable and go with everything so well and are a key piece in my autumn/winter wardrobe alongside my fur coat!

I have noticed that within the change of season i also change my music, i have started to listen to slower and warmer songs. I think i do this every year so its almost a tradition? I have a few songs that i've been loving lately and have fit my mood perfectly while i curl up on my laptop with a cup of tea. They are all songs that i have come across lately, and been non-stop listening to.

We'll Be Ghosts - Brooke Bentham

Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran

Let It Go - James Bay

Let It Go

These are all my thoughts and things about Autumn so far, its a little jumbled and random but i have appeared to run out of things to say so i'll leave you with a Autumn Poem.

Pirouetting Autumn
Mark R Slaugher

The tree blushed - a rude blast of air
Betrayed a shapely bough.
My saddened heart aware
That Nature's clock was chiming,
I froze upon the twelfth
Clanging tone, caught alone,
Staring at a creaking door -
Left ajar for dancing, coloured Autumn,
Pirouetting in her leaves,
While agitated summer creatures
Backed away resignedly,
Sighing in protracted breves.
I turned; gave company;
We stood together, watching
Summer slowly blow away.
